Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American producer and actor, is known for playing in the film Ray Undercover Brother as well as appearing in The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actress, producer and director who works in television and film. She began acting on stage before appearing in mainstream, independent and television series. Her most well-known roles were in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as in BET's epic The Book of Negroes. The series both received reviews, and she also received a number of accolades. She made her professional debut in the role of Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. On Broadway she's appeared on stage in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Coming to her movie career she is renowned for her roles in films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. Her work in television she has been praised for her part in the role of a character who is a regular on ABC's cop drama High Incident.
